Protecting a complainant's interests

The Queensland Industrial Relations Commission (for work-related complaints) and the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (for all other complaints) also hear applications to protect a complainant's interests. Such applications are made by a complainant in order to prohibit a person from doing an act which might prejudice

  • the investigation or conciliation of a complaint or
  • an order that QIRC or QCAT might make after the hearing.
