Play by the Rules

www.playbytherules.net.au/ is a website which provides information, resources and free online training on preventing harassment, discrimination and abuse in sport and recreation.

The website was initially developed as a joint partnership between the South Australian Equal Opportunity Commission, the Australian Sports Commission and the South Australian Office for Recreation and Sport. It’s since been updated to become a national resource, supported by most anti-discrimination Commissions (including Queensland), and state sport and recreation departments.

The website promotes safe, fun and fair play across all sports, and encourages sporting organisations to eliminate all forms of discrimination and harassment.

The Anti-Discrimination Commission Queensland supports and endorses the website, and is currently involved in national negotiations for a broader training role in encouraging harassment-free sport and recreation.
