Robert Jones Oration
Robert Jones was a long standing friend of the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Commission, and had an enormous commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for people with a disability within the built and non-built environment. His expertise in access led him to advocate for people with disability in national forums and on government committees at all levels.
Robert passed away in 2013, and on 8 May 2014, the Anti-Discrimination Commission Queensland, in partnership with Spinal Injuries Australia, held the inaugural Robert Jones Memorial Oration.
The Robert Jones Memorial Oration is coordinated by the Anti-Discrimination Commission Queensland to positively influence public policy and thinking in relation to the creation of fully inclusive communities for all peoples in Queensland, Australia and internationally, and to honour the memory of a tireless advocate.
