Preparing for Tribunal
If a complaint to the Commission is not resolved through agreement at a conciliation conference, the complaint can be referred to the:
- Queensland Industrial Relations Commission (for work-related complaints), or
- Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (for all other complaints)
for hearing and determination. It is generally the choice of the person making the complaint to refer the complaint.
Getting a fair go at the tribunal
The Commission has produced a YouTube - Getting a fair go at the tribunal - to assist parties whose matter has been referred to the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal for hearing and determination.
The Legal Notes page has information that helps to explain the various processes required in the lead up to the hearing of a complaint. These notes are based on decisions of the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal and discuss topics such as filing contentions, complying with orders and producing documents.
