Let us Know in English

LET US KNOW

English

The ADCQ has a research and consultation role in relation to human rights. An issue of concern to us is the extent to which Arab and Muslim people going about their daily lives have become targets for hostility and violence.

To address this unacceptable and perhaps unlawful situation and find solutions, the ADCQ would like to know what is going on in the community.

LET US KNOW your story if you have experienced an incident in a public place (such as on the street, at the shops, on public transport, at a place of study or at work).

You can LET US KNOW in your own language and we will arrange for a translator.

LET US KNOW by :

  • email
    • use the link above or send an email to letusknow@adcq.qld.gov.au
  • writing a letter
    • mail to ADCQ, PO Box 2122, Milton Q 4064
  • talking to someone on the phone
    • call 1300 130 670 or TTY 1300 130 680
  • talking to someone at our office face to face

LET US KNOW about :

  • yourself (ethnic background, language spoken, gender, age)
  • what happened (where, when and why you think it happened)
  • any steps you took to report it and what happened

What will happen?

Your stories will be the basis for understanding the extent of hostility and abuse faced by Arab and Muslim people. Individuals will not be identified. The provision of a liaison worker in an area where incidents have occurred is one kind of outcome which could result.

Formal complaints

Telling the ADCQ your story is not a formal complaint. Find out about requirements for making a complaint.

CALL CRIMESTOPPERS on 1800 333 000 IF YOUR SAFETY IS AT RISK.
